"Mistrel, Book One: Fire" is the first part of a 3-book tale - it's a story told through an interactive fantasy role-playing game (with an old-school, classic, feel) played in your browser.  As you play this game, forgotten memories will be conjured up and a sense of nostalgia and wonder will again pull you into a distance, yet familiar, place - a time when video games were played on a 320x200 screen with a limited set of colors (16, 32, or 256) and entirely played with the keyboard.  Let's go there again!     

Minstrel plays much like the classic RPG Ultima, namely Ultima 4 and 5.  This game is as much a tribute to the founder and creator of the Ultima games, Richard Garriott (AKA Lord British), as it is to the thousands, if not millions, of fans that have logged countless hours playing the Ultima games.   

Even though Minstrel is a web-based game (that doesn't require installing!), we are offering a box set because its cool to get stuff! Why not give our backers something concrete that they can hold in their hands: Books, a cloth map, and various chotskies! Here's what we plan on including in the box...

The box will be the exact dimension of the Ultima 4 and 5 box back in the day. The box will be glossy and shrink-wrapped (like you just got it from Babbage's!).
